Technical architecture

The scanning engine is native (Swift on macOS, .NET on Windows) and walks the file system in parallel at low I/O priority so the machine stays responsive during scans. Duplicate detection runs in three stages — size grouping, a fast partial hash, and a full SHA-256 only on candidates — cutting scan time on large disks dramatically. Each cleanup rule (e.g. Xcode or npm caches) is a data-driven definition with paths and safety conditions, so new categories can be added without touching core logic, and nothing is removed without the user seeing and confirming it. On macOS it works with Full Disk Access and never needs root. Licence issuing, code recovery and device limits are handled by the same Laravel back-end used by MT Transfer.
